Seaforth

Seaforth is a small Ontario town, in the municipality of Huron East dating from the early railway era in Victorian times. Originally known as Four Corners, and Steenes Corner after the early settlers. Turn South towards the Van Egmond Reserve, and a short drive will bring you towards the oldest surviving house in what was originally the Huron Tract.

Seaforth was found by brothers Christopher and George Sparling during the construction of the Buffalo, Brantford, and Goderich Railway. James Patton purchased the land, and laid out a town site in 1855.

The Main Street is one of the province’s best examples of commercial architecture from the 19th century designated in 1984. Enjoy a walk down the street, lined with unique 19th century homogenous buildings, and one of the most lavish clocks of it’s day. Some town events can include : Children’s Easter Egg Event, and Bakesale, Lions club Trout Derby, and The Santa Claus Parade.
